Example projects help you explore Programa before building your own work. Open them to see how schedules, presentations and Project Management fit together, then reuse what's helpful in your own projects.
Find the example projects
Your account includes three example projects on the Projects dashboard:
Example projects may look slightly different depending on when you joined Programa.
Example project | What it's for |
Residential Apartment | Example Project | A complete interior design project you can explore to see the tools working together on a real job |
Getting Started With Programa | A guided introduction, with week-by-week setup tasks and a tutorial Presentation |
Template | A ready-to-use basic project template you can duplicate or copy files from |
Products, pricing and supplier details in the example projects are for illustration only.
If the example projects aren't on your dashboard, contact our support team via live chat to have them added.
Explore the Residential Apartment project
Open Residential Apartment | Example Project.
Explore its schedule, presentations and pinboard to see how a finished project comes together.
Select Project Management to review its phases and tasks.
The project Overview shows information for the example you have open. For help finding your way around, see Getting started with the project Overview.
Learn with Getting Started With Programa
Getting Started With Programa teaches you how to use Programa, step by step. It includes:
Project Management tasks: Setup tasks organized week by week. Work through them in order to set up your studio, invite your team and create your first project files.
Example Schedule: A small set of example products, one from each main category, used throughout the project.
Getting Started with Presentations: A tutorial Presentation. Each page teaches one tool and includes a Try it step, covering text, shapes, images, product pins, sharing with clients, exporting to PDF and Page Styles.
Everything in this project is editable, so experiment freely. Changes here won't affect your own projects.
Use the Template project
Template is a ready-to-use basic project template. Use the whole project as a starting point, or copy a single Presentation into a project you've already created.
Use the whole project
Find Template on your Projects dashboard.
Open the three-dot menu on its project card.
Select Duplicate.
Rename the copy and add your project details. To start a new job with timelines and client details reset, choose Template under Create Project → Past project instead. See Use and create project templates.
Copy a single Presentation
Open the Presentation you want to use.
Open the three-dot menu in its toolbar.
Select Copy to.
Choose the destination project.
The copy is separate from the original, so changes to either won't affect the other. Product pins don't carry over to another project, so re-pin products from the destination project's schedule.
Presentations in the Template project use Page Styles, which lock some elements on the page. To edit a locked element, see How to manage pages and presentations.
You can use the same steps with any of the example projects. For Canva designs, cover images and pinboard layouts, see Use workspace templates.
Rename or archive an example
Find its project card on your Projects dashboard.
Open the three-dot menu.
Select Rename or Archive.
Archiving keeps the project's information so you can restore it later. See Duplicate, archive or delete a project.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between an example project and a template?
Example projects (Residential Apartment and Getting Started) are ready-made projects you can explore to see how Programa works in practice. The Templates project is different — it's a library of individual files (Schedules and Presentations) that you copy into your own projects using Copy to.
Can I still duplicate a whole project like before?
Duplicating a project is still available from any project card (three dots → Duplicate), but for using templates, we recommend the file-level Copy to method described above — it's faster and only brings across what you need.
