Your project dashboard is one place where your client can see their project. You can also give access to your builder, trades and other people who work on the project. This guide explains how the dashboard works and how to set it up.
đĄWhich projects have the new project dashboard? Projects that use the new Schedules. Your older projects keep the previous dashboard and sharing. Nothing changes for them. For older projects that use the Client Dashboard, see How to set up your Client Dashboard (legacy projects).
What your guests see
We call the people that you share with guests. Each guest sees only the content that you share with them. Their dashboard can have these pages:
Overview: the cover image, the project phase and progress, your message, their action items, the project timeline and meetings.
Products: the schedules that you share. Guests can approve or reject products if you give them permission.
Project Files: files, folders, presentations, pinboards, Canva designs and SketchUp models.
Invoices: the invoices that you share. Guests can pay online, also in instalments.
Meetings: meeting notes and recaps.
Project Management: the tasks that you assign to the guest, in Board, List or Timeline view.
How sharing works
You add a guest to the project one time. Then you choose what they can see at three levels:
Features: the pages that the guest can see, for example Schedules or Invoices.
Items: the individual schedules, files, invoices and other items that you share in each feature.
Fields: the information that the guest sees in each schedule, for example pricing or supplier details.
For example, your client sees the schedule with pricing. Your builder sees the same schedule without pricing. Your builder also sees the drawings folder.
When you share, you choose if Programa sends an email. When you change visibility and select Save, Programa doesn't send an email.
You can also make a public link to the project. A public link is view-only.
Set up your dashboard
Do these steps one time before you share.
Add your studio logo
Your logo shows at the top of each guest's dashboard, in all your projects.
Open Settings.
Select the Studio tab.
Upload your logo in Studio logo.
Add a cover image
Each project can have its own cover image. It shows at the top of the Overview page.
Open the project.
Open the project Settings.
Select the Client Dashboard tab.
Upload your image in Cover image.
The recommended size is 1600 Ă 460 px. The maximum file size is 15 MB.
TIP: Use our Canva template to make your cover image.
Add your guests
On the Project overview, select Share project.
In Share with..., enter an email address, or select a contact from your address book.
To add a person who isn't in your address book, select Create contact.
You can also add guests in the Guests tab of the project Settings.
When you add a guest, they can't see anything yet. Programa doesn't send them an email. Your guest gets access when you share content with them.
Check how your schedules look
Your guest sees each schedule in the layout that you share it in: Classic, Sheet, Card or List. Before you share, make sure that the layout is right for your guest.
