What is a Doc-Code?

A Doc-Code is an identifying code designated to each product in your project. Doc-Codes serve as unique identifiers for products in your Schedule.

When clients or trades people need to reference a specific item from drawings or project documents, they can use the Doc-Code to quickly locate the correct product in your Schedule.

How the Doc-Code Checker Works

Programa automatically monitors for duplicate Doc-Codes as you build your Schedule:

  1. Add a new product to your Schedule and enter its details, including the Doc-Code

  2. If you enter a Doc-Code that already exists in your Schedule, a duplicate notification appears immediately

  3. Update the duplicate Doc-Code to maintain accuracy across your project

Note: The checker runs in real-time, so you'll catch duplicates as soon as they're entered.

Using Doc-Codes with Web Clipper

You can use Doc-Codes to streamline product updates when shopping on supplier sites. The Web Clipper allows you to edit product details directly from supplier websites by referencing the Doc-Code.

You can also use the Doc-Code to edit your product details directly from your supplier site using our Web Clipper. See our handy guide on how to do this here.
