When you share a presentation, your client gets an interactive view they can scroll through, click around in, and (if you've granted them permission) approve or reject products from. This article explains exactly what they see, how they navigate, how they action products, and how to use presentation mode for a full-screen view.
What clients see when they open a shared presentation
Your client lands on the Client Dashboard view of the presentation — the same content as your editor, but interactive rather than editable. They can click pins, see product details, switch to presentation mode, and (with the right permissions) approve or reject products. They can't move anything, edit text, or change the layout.
If any products in the presentation are marked Client review in your schedule, the presentation shows a Feedback needed flag in the Dashboard so your client knows there's something to action.
How clients navigate a presentation
Clients have three ways to move through a multi-page presentation:
Scroll through the pages.
Use arrow keys (up / down) to navigate between pages.
Click the arrow icons at the top of the screen to move forward and back through pages.
How clients interact with pins
Hover a product pin — a tooltip appears with the product's image, name, doc code, brand, Quantity and current status.
Click a product pin — the full Product Details side panel opens automatically (no need to click a separate Details button).
Hover a scene pin — a thumbnail preview of the attached image appears.
Click a scene pin — the attached image opens full-screen in a lightbox.
How your client uses the All Items tray
The All Products tray (top-right of the page) lists every pin in the presentation — products and scenes.
Click any item to jump straight to the page where that pin lives.
Filter by status, section, supplier, or brand to focus on what needs attention (e.g. show only Client review items).
Click the i icon on a row to open the product details from the tray, without leaving the current page.
How clients approve or reject products
When products are marked Client review in your schedule, your client can approve or reject them directly from the presentation. The status flows back to the schedule automatically.
There are two ways for a client to action a product:
From the product card on the canvas:
Hover a Client Review pin.
The card shows inline Approve / Reject buttons.
Click without leaving the page.
From the Product Details side panel:
Click the pin — the Product Details side panel opens automatically.
Click Approve or Reject.
Your clients are also able to leave a comment with their approval or rejection.
What happens when a client approves or rejects a product
The product's status updates in your schedule immediately.
The pin's tooltip updates to reflect the new status (so any other reviewer sees the latest state).
You'll see the change next time you open the schedule.
For the full approvals workflow — including how to enable approvals on your schedule, what your client experiences end-to-end, and how to chase outstanding feedback — see our Client collaboration guides.
💡 Tip — tell your client to filter the All Products tray by Client review to triage a long list quickly. They'll see at a glance every product that needs their attention.
How to use presentation mode (full-screen)
Presentation mode is a full-screen, distraction-free, slideshow-style view of a presentation. It's available to both designers (from the editor) and clients (from the shared Dashboard on desktop) — useful any time you want to view the presentation without toolbars, panels, or the thumbnail slider in the way.
📌 Presentation mode is desktop only. The button is hidden when a client opens the presentation on a phone or tablet.
How to enter presentation mode
Click the Presentation mode button in the topbar (or the equivalent button in the client Dashboard view).
How to navigate in presentation mode
Arrow keys — left / right to move between pages.
Esc to exit and return to the normal view.
Presentation mode strips out the editor and Dashboard chrome so each page fills the screen.
When to use presentation mode
Client meetings — share your screen and walk through the presentation cleanly without your editing UI showing.
Internal sign-off — review a finished presentation without the editor's panels and toolbars in the way.
Client self-review — clients can present it to themselves in a focused view, away from the Dashboard chrome.
Desktop vs mobile
Your clients can open a shared presentation on desktop or mobile — both give a proper viewing experience.
Desktop is the better option for in-depth review. The All Products tray, multi-pin clicks, and product details panels are easier to use on a larger screen.
Mobile has been redesigned specifically for phones and tablets:
Read-only mode — clients can scroll, tap pins, and approve products without accidentally moving anything.
Bottom-sheet pins modal — tapping a pin opens a bottom sheet with the full product or scene details, optimised for thumb reach.
Pinch-to-zoom — zoom in on a specific area of a page (without zooming the whole browser).
Horizontal pan — swipe sideways to scroll across wider pages.
Pins scale and position correctly regardless of screen size.
Presentation mode is still desktop-only — the button is hidden on phones and tablets.
