Legacy Invoices: Deprecation Notice & Migration Guide

What's changing?

We're gradually deprecating our legacy invoices product as we continue to invest in and improve our new Invoices feature. The new Invoices feature offers a more reliable, modern invoicing experience and will be the sole supported invoicing solution going forward.

The legacy invoices product will remain accessible for now, but it will no longer receive updates or new features, and we'll be winding it down over time.

  • For new users: If you joined Programa after the new invoicing feature was available, you will only see the new Invoices experience; legacy invoicing will not appear in your account.

  • For existing users with legacy invoices: Your legacy invoices remain accessible in read-only mode. You can view and download them, but new invoices can only be created using the new Invoices experience. Any draft invoices you have will also remain, and you can continue to amend them before sending out, however you won't be able to create any new drafts in the Legacy Invoicing experience.


What does this mean for you?

We recommend downloading and saving copies of your legacy invoices for your records. Once the legacy invoicing feature is fully deprecated, these records will no longer be accessible in the platform.

  • Customers based in Australia and the United States can begin using the new Invoices feature immediately.

  • Customers in the U.K., Canada and New Zealand, the new Invoices feature is coming to your region soon.

Frequently asked questions

Will my legacy invoices be deleted?

Not immediately. Your data will remain intact during the deprecation period. However, we strongly recommend downloading your legacy invoices sooner rather than later to ensure you have copies for your records.

Is the new Invoices feature available in my region?

The new Invoices feature is currently available to customers in Australia and the United States. We're actively working to expand availability, with the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Canada next in line. If you're in one of these regions, stay tuned for updates; we'll announce when the new Invoicing feature becomes available to you.

What if I haven't downloaded my legacy invoices before deprecation?

We'll communicate timelines with advance notice before any data becomes inaccessible, so you'll have time to download your records. We recommend not waiting - download your invoices as soon as possible.
